The Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS® (SIBR) hosted its annual Celebration of SIBR Awards. Held on February 29, 2024 at the Forever After Banquet Hall in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. This event gathered over 220 of its members for an afternoon dedicated to honoring exceptional individuals nominated by their peers. These individuals were recognized for their remarkable contributions and accomplishments throughout 2023.
This year, Jean Lewis of Keller Williams Pinnacle was recognized as this year’s REALTOR® of the year.
President Sam Row expressed profound admiration for the award recipients stating, “Our Awards and Acknowledgement of our membership this year was a huge success! Many congratulations are deserved for all our top-ranking brokerages per county, along with our individual award winners for their success, commitment to community & volunteerism, and dedication to our association! I also give extremely proud congratulations to our Realtor of the Year, Jean Lewis of Keller Williams Pinnacle!”
Lewis has been a member of the organization for over 25 years and sits on its current Board of Directors as SIBR Past President, along with being the chairman of their Education Committee. Lewis also has served on several Illinois REALTORS® committees during the last four years and is a member of its 2024 Leadership Development Class.
REALTOR® OF THE YEAR is the highest honor an association can bestow on a member. When reviewing the nomination for the REALTOR® of the Year Award, the criteria to receive this award is someone who follows the Code of Ethics, is active in the community, leads by example, and serves on local and State committees.
The CEO of the Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS®, Erica Kirk, expressed that “the Realtor of the Year award is the most prestigious honor that a Realtor can achieve. It is bestowed upon an individual who is recognized as an exemplary professional in their field.
