Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS® is proud to announce the success of its recent Annual Membership Meeting & Installation held at the Four Points by Sheraton in Fairview Heights on Thursday, September 28, 2023. The event marked a significant milestone for the organization as it celebrated achievements, welcomed new leadership, and expressed gratitude to outgoing officers and directors.
The highlight of the event was the official induction of incoming President, Sam Row who brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this prestigious role. As the newly appointed President, Row will lead SIBR into the coming year, setting the course for continued growth and success. SIBR also paid tribute to the dedicated contributions of outgoing President Jean Lewis, who had led the organization with unwavering dedication during her term. This transition featured the cherished tradition of the Passing of the Gavel Ceremony, symbolizing the smooth transition of leadership from Past Presidents such as Lewis to President Row This tradition reflects SIBRs commitment to a strong and united leadership team.
“It is an exciting time going into our first full year as the newly merged Southwestern Illinois Board of Realtors.” President, Sam Row states, “Past President Jean Lewis along with CEO Erica Kirk did an excellent job guiding us through the process and I am looking forward to being past the growing pains of our merger and focusing on being the number one resource for our Realtor and Affiliate members to help build their businesses and continue our successful fight for Property Owner’s Rights locally, in Springfield, and Washington DC”
Furthermore, Southwestern Illinois Board of REALTORS® proudly introduced the following Bord of Directors and welcomed four new Directors who were elected by members of the organization and will play pivotal roles in guiding the organization forward:

- Vice President Ashley Barud
- Past President Jean Lewis
- New Director Ericka Logan
- New Director Kevin Botterbush
- New Director Laura Dochwat
- New Director Mark Flesher
The event also served as an opportunity to express gratitude to outgoing officers and directors who have dedicated their time and efforts to SIBR’s mission:

During the Annual Membership Meeting, SIBR highlighted several key accomplishments during this year, including:
Membership Survey: The organization shared insights from a recent membership survey, which received over 300 responses. This survey provided valuable feedback from members, helping SIBR better understand their needs and preferences, and guiding future initiatives.
Success of the September 11, 2023 Golf Tournament: SIBR celebrated the outstanding success of its September 11, 2023 Golf Tournament. The event not only showcased the organization’s commitment to community engagement but also raised funds for the Violence and Prevention Center as well as the Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF).
Presentation on the Realtor Relief Foundation: Members were treated to a presentation given by Mike Ford and Jeff Borchardt on the Realtor Relief Foundation, highlighting this organization’s efforts and its positive impact on the realtor community.
The Annual Membership Meeting & Installation was a testament to the dedication and commitment of SIBR’s members and leadership team. The organization is excited about the year ahead under the leadership of President Sam Row and looks forward to achieving new milestones together.
