Southern Illinois Board of REALTORS® Hosts Successful Charity Golf Tournament, Raising $12,462.49 for Local Charities

The Southern Illinois Board of REALTORS® hosted its annual charity golf tournament on September 5, 2024, at Belk Park Golf Course in Woodriver, Illinois. The event brought together a total of 124 players for a fun and friendly competition, with proceeds benefiting the Illinois REEF and the Women Violence Prevention Center.

Darlene Jones, Executive Director of the Violence Prevention Center, said, “We are grateful for your support. This tournament is a wonderful way to honor Toni Harmon and support survivors of domestic violence in our community. Thank you! We couldn’t serve survivors without the support of our community, and we are grateful for the Southern Illinois Board of REALTORS®’ dedication to supporting survivors.”

The tournament, open to both members and the public, saw a great turnout and a generous $12,462.49 in total, making a significant impact on the organizations it supports.

In addition to the golf tournament, participants and attendees enjoyed a post-event gathering, which featured awards for different competitions throughout the day. The event fostered a sense of togetherness and community spirit, reminding everyone of the power of coming together for a common cause.

SIBR remains committed to its mission of supporting local charities and organizations that make a difference in the lives of community members. The success of this year’s charity golf tournament serves as a testament to their dedication to both the real estate profession and the well-being of the local community.
